The award is the first weekly honor in Daniels' career (Gil Talbot).
ALBANY, N.Y. – Following an explosive week offensively, junior forward Sydney Daniels has been selected as the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Daniels tallied four goals and six points on the week, helping to lead Harvard to a 2-0-1 record. The Southwick, Massachusetts native kicked off the week Feb. 9 when she scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in the Beanpot consolation against Boston University, the latter coming with just 58 seconds remaining in regulation. Daniels followed the performance with a second two-goal outing against Union on Saturday, Feb. 13, netting the game-winner and tallying an unassisted, shorthanded goal to put an exclamation point on the victory.
The junior has four two-goal games in the last seven outings and leads the Crimson with 15 scores this season. Harvard women's hockey concludes the regular season Feb. 19-20 with road clashes at No. 10/10 Colgate and Cornell.
