Maschmeyer Named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week

The netminder earns the honor for the second time this season (Elan Kawesch).

ALBANY, N.Y.  – Emerance Maschmeyer of the Harvard women's hockey team has been voted the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 18-24, the league office announced on Tuesday. The award is her second of the season and seventh-career weekly honor.

Maschmeyer earned her fourth shutout of the season, and 17th of her career, with 23 saves in a 2-0 win over Dartmouth Jan. 23. The senior captain also registered 36 saves against No. 1/1 Boston College on Tuesday, one off her season-best 37 set against Princeton Dec. 4. Maschmeyer anchors the country's seventh-best defense (1.46 goals-against average) and ranks third nationally with a .947 save percentage.

Harvard women's hockey faces a pair of nationally ranked opponents in No. 4/4 Quinnipiac on Friday, Jan. 29 at 3:30 p.m. and No. 9/9 Princeton the following day at 4 p.m. The former will be broadcast on NESN while the latter will be shown on ONE World Sports and the Ivy League Digital Network.
