BOSTON – Angela Ruggiero '04 has added to her list of Hall of Fame inductions with an election to the Beanpot Hall of Fame. Ruggiero is one of four members earning induction, joining Maggie Taverna, Gina Kearns and Tina (Cardinale) Beauchemin.
Ruggiero was a member of a Beanpot-winning team during each of her four years in Cambridge, and was named the 2004 Beanpot Most Valuable Player. She ended her career with three goals and seven assists for 10 points in eight Beanpot contests, including a score and three assists in her final campaign.
The 2004 Patty Kazmaier award winner, Ruggiero ranks fifth in Harvard women's hockey history with 96 goals, and third with 157 assists during her playing career from 1998-2000 and 2002-04. Ruggiero is one of six Crimson skaters to eclipse the 250-point barrier, and she played a key role in helping Harvard win the 1999 national championship.
Ruggiero will be honored on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Walter Brown Arena between the consolation and championship games of the 2016 tournament.
