Maschmeyer Named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. – Senior goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer has been named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 4-10, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Maschmeyer made Crimson history in the third period of a 6-2 victory against No. 10/- Colgate when she passed Erin Villiotte '95 for first place on the all-time Harvard career saves list (2,108). The Bruderheim, Alberta native stopped 30 shots against the Raiders. Maschmeyer also picked up her third shutout of the year with 23 saves when Harvard blanked Cornell, 2-0.

Maschmeyer ranks second in the country in save percentage (.956) and fifth in goals-against average (1.39). No. 8/9 Harvard women's hockey travels to North Country Jan. 15-16 for a pair of ECAC Hockey tilts with St. Lawrence and No. 5/5 Clarkson.
