D’Oench Named ECAC Hockey Player of the Month

The award is the first monthly honor for the right wing (Elan Kawesch).

ALBANY, N.Y. – Senior forward Miye D'Oench of the Harvard women's hockey team has been named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Month, the league office announced on Tuesday.

D'Oench compiled 12 points during the month of November to lead the ECAC, scoring five goals and dishing seven assists. The New York native became the 24th skater in program history to reach 100 points with a goal against Minnesota Duluth on Nov. 28, and she ends the month with a six-game point streak intact. Harvard posted a 7-1 record in November with two wins over ranked opponents.

D'Oench ranks 12th nationally with 0.73 goals per game and 14th in the country with 1.45 points per game. The Crimson pick up ECAC action on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at Princeton before facing No. 4/4 Quinnipiac on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. The former contest will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network while Saturday's event will be shown on Quinnipiac All-Access.
