ALBANY, N.Y. – Led by four selections to the preseason All-ECAC team, Harvard women's hockey was picked to repeat as ECAC champions in the preseason coaches' poll. The Crimson garnered eight of the 12 first-place votes.

Seniors Miye D'Oench, Emerance Maschmeyer, Mary Parker and Michelle Picard were selected to the preseason All-ECAC team, joining Erin Ambrose and Cayley Mercer from Clarkson.

D'Oench tallied a team-high 19 goals and 33 points last season, and was named to the ECAC All-Tournament team after beating the goaltender in each of Harvard's four games leading into the NCAA Tournament. The senior enters the year in 18th-place on the all-time Harvard goals list.

Maschmeyer, a Patty Kazmaier Award nominee in 2014-15, was the ECAC preseason choice as the top goaltender for the second year in a row. A third team All-ECAC and first team All-Ivy selection a year ago, Maschmeyer's .941 save percentage is tied for the best mark in the history of Harvard women's hockey. She is 294 saves from breaking the all-time Harvard career record.

Parker led the Crimson with 39 points a year ago, scoring 17 goals with 22 assists. Named to the All-ECAC second team and All-Ivy first team last season, Parker was a finalist for the ECAC Forward of the Year award. She enters 2015-16 30th on the all-time points list.

Picard earns preseason All-ECAC honors for the second-straight season after anchoring one of the top defenses in the country a year ago. The senior tallied two goals and 15 assists in 2014-15 while recording a team best plus-33 while on the ice.

The Crimson returns to the ice this winter after reaching the NCAA Championship game in 2015 while posting a 27-6-3 overall record. Harvard opens the 2015-16 season with an ECAC contest on the road at Dartmouth on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
