CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Helping the No. 7/8 Harvard women's team to a 3-0 record this week, junior Emerance Maschmeyer has been named the ECAC Goaltender of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Maschmeyer stopped 41-of-43 shots over two games started, including a handling of then-No. 4/4 Quinnipiac on Saturday for the Crimson's fourth consecutive victory. The junior netminder quieted a potent Quinnipiac offense that came in averaging nearly four goals per game to just one score on the evening, totaling 14 saves against the Bobcats.
In the 4-1 victory over ECAC and Ivy League rival Dartmouth on Tuesday, Maschmeyer was peppered with shots all afternoon, but stood on her head to turn aside 27 shots coming her way, her second-highest total this season.
Maschmeyer and the Crimson are quiet through the Holidays before picking things back up at Brown and Yale on Jan. 2 and 3, respectively to start the second half of the season.
