PALO ALTO, Calif. – Facing seven top-25 teams at the Stanford Intercollegiate Hosted by Condoleeza Rice, the Harvard women's golf team tied with Denver and Oklahoma State with a 54-hole aggregate score of 905 (299-298-308).
First-year Anina Ku started on the 10th hole Friday afternoon and was one-over through her first nine, but quickly got back to even par with a birdie on the par five first hole. However, back-to-back bogies on holes five and six brought her back to two-over, 73, where she finished the day.
Ku finished the three-day tournament with an aggregate score of 223, carding a 74 and 76 on Saturday and Sunday, tying her with senior captain Michelle Xie, who also posted a 54-hole score of 223.
Over the three-day tournament, Xie exhibited consistency, turning a scorecard of a 75 on the Friday and matching scores of 74 on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, she registered three birdies, including a pair on day one.
- First-year Anina Ku opened the tournament turning in a two-over score of 73, while leading the Crimson with four birdies. She finished with a 54-hole total of 223 (73-74-76).
- Senior captain Michelle Xie also registered a three-day score of 223 (75-74-74), registering three birdies over three days.
- Senior Anna Zhou and sophomore Jessica Luo each carded three-round scores of 230.
Harvard returns to the links in the spring with the Harvard Invitational at Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Fla. on March 30-31.
