CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
The Harvard women's golf team heads to Clemson, South Carolina to open the 2018 spring season this weekend. The Crimson will be joined by 12 other teams in Clemson Invitational and live results will be available on Golfstat for all three rounds. The women will play one round each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 23-25.

Fall Season Recap
During the fall 2017 season, the Crimson posted top three finishes in three of four tournaments. Harvard took second of 10 teams at Princeton, third of 15 opponents at Yale and third of nine at Delaware. In each of those events, Harvard had at least one athlete finish top-10 overall. After a slow start at the Nittany Lion Invitational, Anna Zhou tied for sixth and Lita Guo finished in the top 30 at the Princeton Invitational. At the Yale Women's Intercollegiate, Michelle Xie took second overall while Ji Hae Lee tied her career low round. In the final tournament at Delaware, Belinda Hu drove herself to a third-place finish to lead the pack, followed by teammate Xie and Zhou, who finished 10th and 12th respectively.

Scouting Harvard
Harvard will send six women to compete at the Clemson Invitational. Captain Lita Guo, Michelle Xie, Anna Zhou, Belinda Hu, Chloe Belle Hooton and Ji Hae Lee will represent the Crimson at this weekend's tournament. Hooton will be making her first appearance during the 2017-18 season, while the other five members were consistent competitors during the fall season.

Scouting the Field
Of the 12 teams competing in addition to Harvard, five were regional competitors in last season's NCAA Tournament, in addition to Alexandra Farnsworth of Vanderbilt who qualified as an individual. Clemson, Texas A&M, Purdue, Ohio State and Furman will all enter with postseason experience, looking to get a strong start to the spring season. Harvard has typically been joined by at least one other Ivy at various tournaments, however the Crimson will be the only member representing the Ancient Eight at the Reserve.

The Course
Jack Nicklaus placed his signature on The Reserve with a 7,112-yard masterpiece along the emerald waters of Lake Keowee with soaring views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The women will play 6,260 yards at a par 72 for three rounds of the tournament.

What's Next?
The Harvard women's golf team will head to Osprey, Florida on April 7-8 to host the Harvard Invitational at the Oaks Club.
