CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- No. 7 Harvard women's fencing went a perfect 3-0 to secure it's 13th straight Beanpot Title on the campus of Boston College, Wednesday night.
The Crimson continued dominance on the strip defeating MIT, 22-5, in its second match of the night. The foilists carried led the charge sweeping the competition with a 9-0 record en route to the win.
Stepping to the strip for the final time tonight, Harvard defeated Boston College, 16-11, to secure the sweep at the Beanpot. The foil squad went 7-2 against the Eagles in the final bouts with a perfect record from sophomore Cynthia Liu.
- The foil squad notched the best record for the Crimson going 23-4 throughout the three matches.
- Four fencers for Harvard posted near perfect records all going 8-1.
- The Crimson's win over Boston College marks its 23rd straight win against the Eagles.
- With the sweep of the competition, Harvard wins its 13th straight Beanpot Title.
