No. 7 Women’s Fencing Places Fourth at the Ivy League Round Robins

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- No. 7 Harvard women's fencing finished fourth at the Ivy League Round Robins with a 3-3 mark on Sunday afternoon.

Junior epeeist Saanchi Kukadia, first-year foilist Karina Wang and sophomore sabreist Veronica Czyzewski all tsecured first team All-Ivy honors. The three combined to go an impressive 35-10 on the weekend through six matches.

All three fencers placed top three overall in their weapons on the weekend.

The Crimson fell in two closely contested bouts to No. 1 Princeton 17-10 and Penn 15-12.

Harvard Highlights

  • Saanchi Kukadia, Karina Wang, and Veronica Czyzewski all tabbed first team All-Ivy League honors
  • Czyzewski finished second overall in women's sabre, Wang finished third overall in women's foil and Kukadia finished third overall in women's epee.
  • The Crimson finished the weekend fourth overall in the standings.
