
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Returning to the strip for the first time this year, the women's fencing team travels to University Park to partake in the Penn State Open. Competition will begin at 8 a.m. on Nov. 3 and will run through Nov. 4. Athletes competing in the sabre event will have a start time of 12 p.m. on both days.
Last year the Crimson finished fifth at nations and 12-4 on the season, while Cindy Gao captured the bronze medal in epee for the teams' highest-place finish of the tournament. Harvard sent five members to the 2018 National Championships and four of those five members return for the new season: Gabrielle Tartakovsky, Cindy Gao, Saanchi Kukadia and Marta Lasota

The women's fencing program travels to Fairfield, Conn. to take part in the Sacred Heart Invitational on Dec. 2. The Crimson will face Temple, NYU, Penn State, Sacred Heart and Vassar during the day's events.
