CAMBRIDGE – Mass. – Peter Brand, the head coach of the Harvard women's fencing team, has announced the addition of two freshman for the upcoming 2017-18 season: Cindy Gao (Epee) and Saanchi Kukadia (Epee).
"Despite a small class this year, both Saanchi and Cindy are vital in shoring up our Epee squad. Both have extensive competitive experience both nationally and internationally," said head coach Peter Brand. "More importantly their personal traits are in line with what we look for in a Harvard fencer. We are confident that this combination will insure quick integration that will greatly enhance the probability of them both making an immediate impact on the women's program."
The incoming freshmen join a team who finished fifth at the NCAA Championships last season.
