CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard women's fencing
team earned its seventh straight victory to start the season, as
the Crimson topped Tufts, 24-3, Thursday evening at the Malkin
Athletic Center. Harvard swept the sabre and foil weapons to
improve to 7-0 on the year.
In the foil, seniors Arielle Pensler and Anna Podolsky and
Katherine Chou each posted a 3-0 record to finish with an
undefeated record against the Jumbos. The sabre team also
swept Tufts, as junior Yunsoo Kim, freshman Elena Helgiu and
sophomore Hayley Levitt were 3-0 each.
The epee squad earned a 6-3 win, as freshman Felicia Sun led the
way with a 3-0 mark. Rookie Nadia Eldeib boasted a 2-1
record, while freshman Alexa Fishman went 1-2.
Harvard will next compete at the St. John's Invitational Jan. 24.
