Radcliffe Lightweight Novices Make Season Debut at Green Monster Regatta

HANOVER, N.H. – The Radcliffe lightweight crew competed against a tough lineup of boats at the Green Monster regatta Saturday afternoon and placed ninth overall. The Black and White was stacked against 13 heavyweight crews and just one other lightweight group.
Radcliffe sent its novice boating to the event to make its season debut. The boat line up consisted of coxswain, Gabbie Giuglino and rowers, Nicole Golden (stroke), Niamh Durfee, Cybéle Greenburg, Rebecca Curran, Jenai Akina, Teresa Oszkins, Kim-Mai Le, Taylor Benninger (bow).
Radcliffe rowed the three-mile straight course in 18:32, well ahead of the other lightweight boat. MIT's lightweights were outpaced by the Black and White by 28 seconds. Radcliffe topped five heavyweight crews with the performance.
