CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 17 Radcliffe heavyweight crew will begin its postseason racing this Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts, competing in the 2018 Eastern Sprints Championships.
Radcliffe is the three-time defending champion of the event, having edge out Northeastern each of the last two years for the top spot.

LAST TIME OUT
The Black and White faced Yale and Northeastern last Saturday, defeating the Huskies to earn the Rowlands Cup, but fell to Yale in the Case Cup. The first varsity used a late push to edge Northeastern by 1.3 seconds at the flag.
This will be the 41st trip to the Eastern Sprints, after sweeping the event for the third straight-season last year. Prior to 2015, the Black and White had not raced in the event since 2011. Overall, Radcliffe has taken home gold nine times (1973, 1975, 1987, 1989, 1993, 2003, 2015, 2016 and 2017).

In her 32nd season of guiding the Harvard-Radcliffe heavyweight crews in 2017-18, head coach Liz O'Leary owns a 206-115 career dual record with 16 appearances in the NCAA Championship, including the 2003 title and a 2005 bronze medal finish.
Radcliffe heads to Camden, New Jersey May 13 to compete in the Ivy League Championships.
