PRINCETON, N.J. – Continuing her standout start to her collegiate career, Lola Mullaney of the Harvard women's basketball team has been tabbed the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon. This marks Mullaney's second accolade of the month and her career.
Mullaney recorded double-digit points for the fifth time this season in back-to-back victories for the Crimson against Boston University (66-39) and Quinnipiac (77-68) last week. On Tuesday against the Terriers, Mullaney knocked down a team-best 18 points off six three-pointers. Mullaney went six-for-10 from behind the arc, while shooting 6-for-11 from the field. The first-year added six rebounds, three assists and two steals to her tally as well.
Following with another impressive performance, Mullaney nearly tied her career-high with a team-high 24 points against the Bobcats on Saturday. The Colts Neck, N.J. native recorded a season-high 56.3 shooting percentage, going 9-for-16 from field-goal range. Mullaney sank a team-best five triples to now pace the Crimson and place second in the league in scoring with 17.3 points per game.
Mullaney and the Crimson are back in action this Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m., hosting Northeastern at Lavietes Pavilion on ESPN+.
