PRINCETON, N.J. – After finishing in the top three of the Ivy League standings for the 13th consecutive season a year ago, the Harvard women’s basketball team was selected to finish third in the Ivy League preseason media poll, as announced by the conference today, Oct. 23. The Crimson concluded its 2018-19 campaign in third place with a 17-13 overall record and 9-5 league mark.
BOSTON, Mass. – Former Harvard women’s basketball standout Allison Feaster ’98 has been hired by the Boston Celtics as the director of player development, as announced by the Celtics’ president of basketball operations Danny Ainge.
A 19-year WNBA and international veteran, Feaster joins the organization after spending 10 years (1998-2008) playing professionally for the Los Angeles Sparks, Charlotte Sting and Indiana Fever, before taking her talents oversees to play professionally in Europe until 2016. At the conclusion of her professional career, Feaster served as the manager of player personnel and coach relations in the NBA G-League prior to joining the Celtics’ front office. She was responsible for maintaining relationships with players, agents and coaches as well as serving as the point contact for the league’s international strategy.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Friends of Harvard Women's Basketball Head Coach Kathy Delaney-Smith has announced the team’s 2019-20 schedule today, July 31. The Crimson will begin its season in non-conference play, as its slate spans 10 different leagues. Harvard looks to earn a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the fourth-consecutive year with 12 regular season contests at Lavieties Pavilion.
