  • Women’s Basketball Takes Down Quinnipiac, 77-68

    HAMDEN, Conn. – Behind four players in double-digit points, the Harvard women’s basketball team (6-2, 0-0 Ivy League) ran past Quinnipiac (1-4, 0-0 MAAC) today, Nov. 30, at the People’s United Center. Led by first-year Lola Mullaney with 24 points, the Crimson had three other players record double-digit points against the Bobcats: Mackenzie Barta (13), Rachel Levy (11) and Tess Sussman (10). Mullaney sank five three-pointers, while Levy went six-for-eight from the charity stripe. Senior Jeannie Boehm paced the Crimson defense with eight rebounds, while also adding three blocks to her tally.

    BOSTON, Mass. – After a short trip down Commonwealth Ave., Harvard women’s basketball used a strong defensive and shooting effort to down the Boston University Terriers, 66-39. First-year Lola Mullaney led the Crimson with a 18-point night, all of which came from beyond the arc. Sophomores Maggie McCarthy and Tess Sussman along with senior, Mackenzie Barta led the defensive effort with lockdown perimeter defense, holding the Terriers to just an 10-percent clip from three-point range.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off a successful opening week of its 2019-20 season, the Harvard women’s basketball team (2-0, 0-0 Ivy League) it set for a busy week of competition. The Crimson will first host Siena in a midweek matchup this Tuesday, Nov. 12, before traveling to La Salle and Rutgers next weekend, Nov. 15 and 17, respectively. Tip-off time is slated for 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday with both contests on ESPN+, while the Crimson will face the Scarlet Knights at 2 p.m. on Sunday on BTN+.

  • Boston Celtics Hire Former Women’s Basketball Standout Allison Feaster ‘98

    BOSTON, Mass. – Former Harvard women’s basketball standout Allison Feaster ’98 has been hired by the Boston Celtics as the director of player development, as announced by the Celtics’ president of basketball operations Danny Ainge. A 19-year WNBA and international veteran, Feaster joins the organization after spending 10 years (1998-2008) playing professionally for the Los Angeles Sparks, Charlotte Sting and Indiana Fever, before taking her talents oversees to play professionally in Europe until 2016. At the conclusion of her professional career, Feaster served as the manager of player personnel and coach relations in the NBA G-League prior to joining the Celtics’ front office. She was responsible for maintaining relationships with players, agents and coaches as well as serving as the point contact for the league’s international strategy.

The Crimson will begin its season in non-conference play, as its slate spans 10 different leagues. Harvard looks to earn a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the fourth-consecutive year with 12 regular season contests at Lavieties Pavilion.
