PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior co-captain Madeline Raster of the Harvard women's basketball team has been selected as the Ivy League Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference today, Feb. 25. This marks Raster's second career player of the week accolade and first this season.
Raster led the Crimson to its first weekend sweep of the season with dominant wins over Brown and Yale at Lavietes Pavilion. Against the Brown Bears, Raster was just shy of her first career triple-double, posting 11 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Shooting 50 percent from the field and adding two steals, she guided Harvard to a 98-55 win over Brown. Following up with an 83-69 victory over Yale the following night, Raster tied her career-high and posted a team-best 24 points. Adding eight rebounds, three assists and two steals to her tally, the South Bend, Ind. native shot 50 percent from the floor for the second-straight night. Adding to her career night, Raster became the 21st player in Harvard women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points.
Currently on a three-game winning streak, the Crimson will head to Penn and Princeton this weekend, March 1-2, for its final road contests of the regular season.
