Women’s Basketball Picks Up Second Win Abroad

VALENCIA, Spain – Entering the second half of its Spain foreign tour, the Harvard women's basketball picked up its second win of the trip with an 80-59 victory over Valencia Basket Club on Friday night.

Competing in its brand-new facility, Valencia Basket Club is a combined team made up of players from the top programs in Valencia. Balanced scoring and a strong team defense were the keys to victory as Katie Benzan and Jadyn Bush led the team with 17 and 12 points, respectively. Senior co-captain Madeline Raster and Jeannie Boehm led the Crimson in assists.

Harvard's victory concludes its time in Valencia, as the Crimson will head to Barcelona today for the last leg of its tour. The team will compete again on Monday before returning to Cambridge on August 29th.
