Women’s Basketball Edges Districto Olimpico in First Foreign Contest

MADRID, Spain – After soaking up the city of Madrid on the first leg of its foreign tour, the Harvard women's basketball team defeated Districto Olimpico, a Spanish club team, 80-74, in its first game abroad yesterday. A competitive match that featured all 15 Crimson players led to 16 assists on 28 baskets for Harvard's first win. Two members from Districto Olimpico also played with Harvard alumna Allison Feaster during her time competing professionally in Spain.

Harvard continues its journey abroad with its next stop in Valencia tomorrow, August 23rd, where the Crimson will take two days to explore the city and compete in its second match of the tour.
