PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior guard Taylor Rooks has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week after leading the Harvard women's basketball team to victories over Penn and Princeton this weekend. The honor is the second this season for Rooks.
Rooks was tremendous against the Quakers, tallying 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. She followed that up with nine points on Senior Night in the triumph over the Tigers. For the weekend, Rooks averaged 15 points per game, seven rebounds, two steals and one assist.
The wins marked the first sweep of Penn and Princeton for Harvard since 2013 and also clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the Crimson. Harvard will close out the regular season at Cornell and Columbia March 2-3.
