    The Ivy League has announced that the 2019 Ivy League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments will be held on the campus of Yale University at the John J. Lee Amphitheater at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

    Kathy Delaney-Smith, the head coach for Harvard women’s basketball, has announced the addition of two freshmen to the roster for the 2018-19 season as the class of 2022.

    Rising seniors Madeline Raster and Sydney Skinner will serve as the 2018-19 captains for the Harvard women’s basketball team. As all captains at Harvard, the leadership posts were determined based on an election of the student-athletes on the team.

    The Ivy League and ESPN have agreed to a long-term relationship to showcase Ivy League events through a variety of ESPN platforms, including at least 24 events annually on ESPN’s linear networks and more than 1,100 annually on ESPN+. This will include coverage for all 42 Harvard varsity programs.

  • Women's Basketball Opens WNIT at Fordham Friday

    The Harvard women’s basketball team (18-10) has been selected to the WNIT for the eighth time in program history, the tournament’s selection committee announced Monday night. The Crimson will take on Fordham (22-9) on Friday, March 16 in Bronx, N.Y. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. and be shown live on the Atlantic 10 Network. Harvard will be making its sixth appearance in the WNIT over the past seven seasons.

    The Harvard women's basketball team (18-10) has been selected to the WNIT for the eighth time in program history, the tournament's selection committee announced tonight (March 12). The Crimson will take on Fordham (22-9) on Friday, March 16. Game time is still not determined. Harvard will be making its sixth appearance in the WNIT over the past seven seasons.

    Sophomore guard Katie Benzan was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team, as the conference office announced All-Ivy teams Wednesday. Classmate Jeannie Boehm and senior Taylor Rooks also garnered spots on the All-Ivy second team.

    The Harvard women’s basketball team begins the postseason this Saturday, traveling to Philadelphia to take part in the 2018 Ivy League Basketball Tournament at The Palestra. The Crimson enter the conference tournament as the three-seed and will face second-seeded Penn at approximately 8:30 p.m. The semifinal matchup can be seen live on ESPN3.

    The 2017-18 regular season comes to a close this weekend, as the Harvard women’s basketball team will travel to the Empire State for games at Cornell and Columbia. Tip-off in Ithaca Saturday is set for 2 p.m. and the game in Manhattan will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday and can be seen on SNY. Both games will also be available on the Ivy League Network.

    Led by freshman Jadyn Bush’s first career double-double and a stifling defensive effort, the Harvard women’s basketball team (13-6, 5-1 Ivy) topped Cornell (5-14, 1-5 Ivy), 80-58, at Lavietes Pavilion Saturday night. Bush registered a career-best 12 points and matched her career-high in rebounds with 11.

     The Harvard women’s basketball team (12-6, 4-1 Ivy) never trailed Friday night, running away with an 85-67 victory over the visiting Columbia Lions (7-13, 1-4 Ivy) at Lavietes Pavilion. The win helped the Crimson move into a three-way tie atop the Ivy League standings with Princeton and Penn at 4-1 in conference play.
