Markley Named WBCA Honorable Mention Player of the Month
Sophomore Emma Markley was named WBCA Division I National Player
of the Month Honorable Mention for February. Markley averaged 15.9
points and 8.4 rebounds per game in eight games for the Crimson
Markley recorded three double-doubles and reached double-digit scoring in seven of the eight contests in February. The Yorktown, N.Y., native made 61-of-119 attempts for a 51.3 field goal percentage. She equaled career highs in points (27) and rebounds (14) against Columbia (Feb. 14).
Harvard went 7-1 last month and sports an overall record of 18-9 and a 10-2 mark in Ivy League play. The Crimson is one-game back of league-leader Dartmouth. The two teams face off in the season finale Tuesday in Hanover, N.H.
The Crimson plays its final home game of the season tonight against Yale. Harvard’s four seniors will be recognized prior to a 6 p.m. tip-off.
