CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Track and Field team has announced 25 additions to the roster for the 2019-20 season, according to Jason Saretsky, The William W. "Bill" McCurdy Director of Track & Field/Cross Country. The class includes 11 women and 14 men, hailing from 12 states and five countries.

"I'm thrilled to welcome the incoming class of 2023 to Harvard and our program," Saretsky said. "Our coaching staff and student-athletes did an outstanding job recruiting another strong class that should make an immediate impact both during the cross country and the track seasons. We continue to attract high school national champions and those who have represented their country at international competitions. These experiences will help prepare our first-years for the high level of competition they will see competing for the Crimson. I'm looking forward to this next class continuing our rich tradition of pursuing academic and athletic excellence."

The newcomers will be joining a squad that had a productive 2018-19 campaign. The women took second place at the Outdoor Ivy League Championships in May, the men finished in third. The Crimson captured eleven individual outdoor Ivy League championships and ten indoor individual titles as well as one relay crown. Sam Welsh was named a USTFCCCA First Team All-American, while Will Battershill, Erick Duffy and Myles Marshall all earned USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-America recognition. On the women's side Anna Juul was selected as a USTFCCCA All-America Honorable Mention.
