INDIANAPOLIS – Former Harvard sprinter and current student-coach Gabby Thomas was selected as part of the 44-person roster by USA Track and Field to represent the United States in Tokyo, Japan at the 2019 IAAF World Relays, May 11-12.

The international competition will consist of nine events: the 4x100m, 4x200m and 4x400m for both men and women, and a mixed 4x400m, shuttle hurdle relay and a 2x2x400m relay.

Thomas is no stranger to international competition, as she spent last summer competing in the IAAF Diamond League, qualifying for the final in the women's 200m. Notably, the Florence, Mass. native set her own PR at the IAAF Diamond League London meet with a time of 22.19 and won the 200m at the IAAF Diamond League Athletissima meet in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Thomas, whose signature event is the 200m, won the national championship at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships and holds the collegiate record in the event, with a time of 22.38.
