CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's indoor track and field comes in at No. 1 in the Northeast Regional Ranking, as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Harvard is in first, scoring 265.86 points.
The team is led by its 60m hurdles and triple jump event groups which are ranked 12th in the country according to the EventSquad rankings. EventSquad rankings use the cumulative season-best qualifying time from a team's top-four ranked athletes on the national descending-order list.
The 60m hurdles group is led by junior Livia Gauntlett, who ran an 8.44 second race on Friday at Crimson Elite, moving up to third all-time in Harvard history and the fastest time in the Ivy League this season.
Leading the triple jump group is junior Simi Fajemisin, who had a top mark of 12.84m (42-01.5) at the Clemson Invite and is atop the Ivy League so far this season.
