    Junior sprinter Jovahn Williamson ended the first day of the Clemson Invite with a bang on Friday, breaking the Harvard indoor track 400m dash record, crossing the finish line in 47.39 seconds.

    Harvard indoor track and field split up on Saturday, Jan. 19 with part of the team at the Clemson Invite and the rest at the BU Multi Team Meet. 31 student-athletes competed at the Clemson Invite while 15 competed at the BU Multi Team Meet.

    Harvard indoor track and field will split up for two meets this upcoming weekend. Part of the team will head to Clemson, South Carolina for the Clemson Invite from Jan. 18-19 while others will head to the BU Multi Team Meet on Saturday, Jan. 19.

    Both the men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed at the Beantown Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 12 where the women finished in second place with 102 points while the men finished in third with 60.

    this past summer after setting the 5k and 3k Thai national records, I was invited by the Thai national team asking if I wanted to run in the Asian Games. A little background, I am half Thai or as they call it in Thailand, a luk khrueng (directly translated as half child). We moved to Thailand when I was 3 years old and stayed there for most of my early childhood. The Jakarta Palembang Asian Games in Indonesia would be held in late August and racing a hard 10k in the Indonesian summer wouldn’t exactly be “Vanilla.”

    Harvard indoor track and field fell in a dual meet at the Gordon Indoor Track on Sunday. The women’s team fell by a score of 63-41 in Penn’s favor while the men lost 59-44.

    Building on his strong first year, Jovahn Williamson broke the BU Track and Tennis Center facility record and his own Harvard record in the 300-meter dash at the BU Opener, crossing the finish line in 33.75 seconds, on Saturday.

    Harvard track and field will begin its 2018-19 indoor season at cross-town rival Boston University in the Sharon Colyear-Danville BU Opener on Saturday, Dec. 1. The meet will begin at 11 a.m. at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

    Senior distance runner Kieran Tuntivate competed in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, finishing in fourth place with a time of 30:29.04.

    Jason Saretsky, The William W. "Bill" McCurdy Director of Track & Field/Cross Country, announced 26 new members in the track and field and cross country class of 2022. The group joins Harvard from 12 states and five countries.
