PRINCETON, N.J. -- Several standout Harvard track and field student-athletes travelled to Princeton's Weaver Track & Field Stadium for the IC4A/ECAC Track and Field Championships this weekend.
In the women's 1500m run on Saturday, both freshman Abbe Goldstein (third), and junior Kathryn Gillespie (5th) picked up points for the Crimson. Goldstein recorded her best 1500m time of the season, placing third in 4:23.31, while Gillespie was just behind in fifth, finishing in 4:24.75.
On the men's side, freshman Matthew Perriera earned a point for the Crimson by placing eighth in the 5000m, finishing in 14:47.29.
Sophomore Gillian Meeks also earned points for Harvard in the women's 10k, placing fifth overall in 36:11.20.
In the men's 110m hurdles, senior Jay Hebert placed fifth in the final, capping off his collegiate career with a 14.47, after qualifying with a 14.33 mark, near his season best.
In the 400m hurdles, also on Sunday, junior Taylor Brunksole neared his season best in the event, placing eighth in 54.22.
Harvard will be off next weekend before sending qualified student-athletes to the NCAA East Preliminary Meet in Tampa, Fla. on May 24-26.
