CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's track and field distance runner Annika Gompers '18 has been selected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Harvard announced this week.

Gompers was among the 'Junior 24' selected to join Harvard's chapter of the nation's oldest academic honor society. The accolade is bestowed on those whose coursework demonstrates not only high achievement, but also breadth of interest, depth of understanding, and intellectual honesty, as stated on Phi Beta Kappa's website.

Gompers is an integrative biology concentrator and a member of Currier House. She has been a member of the track team since arriving on campus, competing in various events throughout her career. She is a native of Newton, Massachusetts.
