CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Former Harvard track and field standouts Natalie "Nicky" Grant '02 and Samyr Laine '06 will represent Jamaica and Haiti, respectively, at the 2015 Pan Am Games, which are being held July 10-26 at Toronto's CIBC Pan Am / Parapan Am Athletics Stadium.

"It is fantastic to see both Nicky and Samyr continuing to compete internationally," said Jason Saretsky, The William W. "Bill" McCurdy Director of Track and Field/Cross Country. "Their success and longevity are great examples for our current student-athletes to see how far you can go in our sport from Harvard.  I'm incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and wish them the best of luck at the Pan American Championships."

Grant is the Harvard record holder in the hammer throw, crushing the Heptagonal mark with her 195-06 (59.59 meters) toss during the 2002 season. Laine, a former All-America and Olympian, boasts the Harvard outdoor triple jump record, clearing 53-7.25 (16.34 meters) at NCAA's in 2005.

Entering the Pan Am Games, Grant's top throw is 208-04 (63.5 meters) and Laine has jumped 57-0.6 (17.39 meters).
