INDIANAPOLIS – The participants for the 2015 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships were announced early this week, with sophomore thrower Nikki Okwelogu earning a spot in the shot put competition.

Okwelogu broke her own Ivy League record in the shot put over the weekend at the Heptagonal Championships, setting the new standard at 17.12 meters. That mark is the ninth best in the nation and one of just 10 to break 17 meters. Okwelogu, the Field Performer of the Meet at Heps is the only female thrower from the Ivy League to be selected to participate in the NCAA Championships.

Arkansas is the host school for the 2015 Indoor Track and Field National Championships, hosting the event at its Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville. Competition will run March 13-14, with the women's shot put event scheduled for 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
