CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard track and field team has announced a competitive schedule for the 2014-15 season that features 10 regular season meets before the championship season begins with the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on February 28 in New York City.
The Crimson will host five meets at Gordon Indoor Track, beginning with the Harvard Open on December 6. Harvard will not be on the track again until January 9, 2015, when it heads to New Hampshire for the Dartmouth Relays.
Two more home events at Gordon on January 16 and 17 follow. The Harvard Multi Meet will go off on Friday, Jan. 16, with the Beantown Challenge taking place the next day. A trip to New Mexico comes on January 24, as the Crimson will compete in the Cherry and Silver Collegiate Invitational hosted by the Lobos. January concludes with the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City and the Terrier Invitational at Boston University on Friday, Jan. 30.
The Crimson Elite Meet is the final regular season home event for Harvard, taking place on February 6. Another crosstown trip to BU comes on February 7, as the Terriers will host the Scarlet and White Meet. The regular season concludes with the H-Y-P meet at Princeton on February 14.
The Ivy League Heptagonal Championships will be hosted by Harvard this year, with competition beginning on February 28. The postseason events continue with the IC4A/ECAC Championships on March 6 and wrap up with the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Arkansas on March 13.
