Miller ranks third in the 400m hurdles, while Okwelogu finishes 11th in the shot put final.
EUGENE, Ore. – Rising sophomore Jade Miller set a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing third at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships Saturday.
Miller crossed in 56.22 earning bronze with a time that was over one second faster than her personal best.
Classmate Nikki Okwelogu competed in both the shot put and discus. Competing for the Nigerian national team, Okwelogu finished 11th overall with a shot put toss of 14.77m. The Fresno, California native just missed the discus finals, finishing 13th overall with a throw of 49.07m.
