Three Track and Field Athletes to Compete at USA Junior Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Three Harvard track and field student-athletes will compete in four events at the two-day U.S. Outdoor Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore., this weekend.

The opportunity to represent the United States on the world stage is at stake, as rising sophomore Jade Miller, Jackie Modesett and Josh Whitener all qualified for the event. Modesett will be competing in the 100m and 400m hurdles. Miller will join her classmate in the 400m hurdles. Whitener will participate in the hammer toss.

Over 600 athletes will be vying for individual titles and potential berths onto Team USA for the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships – also to be contested in Eugene from July 22-27.

USATF.tv will stream the meet live online beginning with the first running event of each day. Saturday's broadcast begins at 5:50 p.m. ET and Sunday's at 5:45 p.m. ET
