Hardenbergh, Kitch set to compete at NCAA Skiing Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Senior Hannah Hardenbergh and first-year James Kitch are set to represent the Harvard nordic ski team at the 2019 NCAA Skiing Championships this weekend, March 6-9, in Stowe, Vt. Competing at the Trapp Family Lodge, the two Crimson skiers will tackle the 5/10K skate on Wednesday, March 6 before concluding the weekend with the 15/20K classic on Friday.

What to Know
-
First-year James Kitch opened his collegiate skiing career with a prolific rookie season, picking up six top-20 finishes, a pair of top-10 finishes, and a team-best fifth place finish at the Middlebury Carnival.
-Last year's leading scorer, Hannah Hardenbergh punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships after a successful senior campaign. The Edwards, Colo. native picked up three top-10 and three top-20 finishes during the season to place her at the head of the pack for the women's nordic squad.
-This marks Hardenbergh's and Kitch's first trip to NCAAs as well as the first time Harvard has sent two skiers to the championships since the 2015 season.
