Skiing Readies for Dartmouth Carnival

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Harvard ski team takes off on another road trip, traveling to New Hampshire for the Dartmouth Carnival, Feb. 8-9. Alpine will compete at the Dartmouth Skiway while the nordic squad will race at the Dartmouth XC Ski Center at Oak Hill.

What to Know
Last week, the Crimson finished eighth in a field of 16 schools at the UVM Carnival, logging its first top-10 finish at the Carnival since 1973.
-Led by the women's nordic unit, Harvard recorded an 11th place finish last year at Dartmouth.
-At UVM, Hannah Hardenbergh and James Kitch paced the nordic squad throughout the weekend, picking up 22nd in the 5K freestyle and 11th place in the 20K mass start, respectively.
-Nellie Ide continued to show her mastery of the mountain, picking up a 16th place finish in the giant slalom event in Stowe, Vt.
-Jack Despres contested both runs on the challenging UVM giant slalom course to finish 22nd overall.

Harvard makes its way to Hancock, Vt. to contest the Middlebury Carnival, Feb. 15-16. Alpine is set to compete at the Middlebury Snow Bowl while the nordic team competes at the Rikert Nordic Center.
