Jennifer Rohn returns to Harvard as an assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2016-17, head coach Jenny Allard announced in June 2017.

"I am thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the coaching staff," Allard said. "She had a positive impact on the players and program during the short time she was a volunteer assistant and we are looking forward to having her back on staff in a full time role."

Rohn helped Harvard capture its seventh Ivy League championship, and sixth appearance in the NCAA regionals with a sweep of Dartmouth in the Ivy League Championship Series. Finishing the season with a 23-18 overall record, including a 14-7 mark agianst Ivy opponents, seven Harvard players earned All-Ivy recognition, while Katie Duncan was tabbed as the 2018 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year. Additionally, Duncan and junior Rhianna Rich were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District, while the pair was joined by senior Maddy Kaplan and junior Meagan Lantz to earn NFCA All-Region honors. 

A native of Rochester Hills, Mich., Rohn previously served as a volunteer assistant at Harvard during the 2016 season, helping guide the Crimson to a 29-17 record, including a 16-4 mark in Ivy League play capped off by a North Division Championship. Rohn was primarily responsible for coaching the outfielders and hitters.

In December of 2017, Rohn completed her Master of Science degree in psychology at ULM. While at ULM, Rohn helped guide the Warhawks to one of its best seasons (32-30), the second team in program history to reach the 30-win mark. Prior to joining the ULM staff, Rohn returned to her home state of Michigan, leading Birmingham Groves High School to a District Championship as head coach. Rohn was named MHSAA 2016 Division 1 District Coach of the Year.  

Rohn had a standout softball career at Western Michigan, where she served as captain her junior and senior seasons and played infield/outfield, primarily center field her final two seasons. She started in 156 of the 197 games she played and during her senior season she helped lead the Broncos to the MAC Championship game and finished with a .351 batting average, a .513 slugging percentage and a .395 on-base percentage with 54 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, three home runs and 29 RBIs. Rohn was a Second Team All-MAC selection, a MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, and earned Academic All-MAC honors in each of her four seasons with the Broncos. She graduated from Western Michigan in Dec. 2015, earning Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Elementary Education.

Rohn has also served as a hitting and skills instructor at Premier Softball in Troy, Mich., and was a head coach for the Birmingham Jags 12U-16U travel team for four years.
