Softball Welcomes Six Member Incoming Class

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard softball introduces its incoming class of 2022: Trina Hoang, Brianna Jewett, Grace Krantz, Kaitlin Lampson, Teagan Shaw, and Megan Welsh.

"We are thrilled to welcome the Harvard softball class of 2022," says Harvard softball Head Coach Jenny Allard. "These young women have a strong commitment to academic and athletic excellence. They are excited to join a veteran team and will have a positive impact on the program for years to come."

The six freshmen join a strong veteran team, led by an eight-member senior class, which includes the 2018 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year Katie Duncan. In 2018, Harvard won its seventh Ivy League title – first since 2012 – with a 23-18 record, including a 14-7 Ivy League mark.

Four-year utility player and varsity letterwinner … First team all-conference in 2017 and 2018 … Second team all-state in 2017 … Captain for 2017-18 season … Indiana Class 3A State Championship runner-up, semi-state Champion in 2018 … Led team in batting average, hits, RBI, doubles, homeruns, walks, on-base percentage and slugging percentage during senior season … Set school records in most homeruns during a game (3) and homeruns in a single inning (2) … Received high honors all four years of high school … Two-year member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society … Four-year member of H.O.P.E, Intramural volleyball, Spanish Club and the Spirit Club … Sister, Kelly, will be a senior on the Wisconsin softball team this season.
