    Harvard Athletics is proud to announce that three of its head coaches have received an inaugural Coach of Excellence award today. Head coach of softball Jenny Allard has been named the Ragatz Family Harvard Women’s Coach of Excellence, while Brian Baise, head coach of men’s volleyball, and Ted Minnis, The Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach, are co-recipients of the James Herscot ’58 Coach of Excellence award.

    The Harvard Varsity Club welcomed five members to its Hall of Fame as the Class of 2018 during a dinner and induction ceremony at the Harvard Club of Boston's Downtown Clubhouse on Saturday, October 13. Jennifer Botterill ’02-'03 (women's hockey), Dominic Moore ’03 (men's hockey), Carl E. Morris ’03 (football), Daniel J. Shevchik ’03 (men's swimming & diving), and Tiffany Whitton Gould ’03 (softball) joined the nearly 550 student-athletes from Harvard’s 42 varsity teams who have previously been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

    Many college students decide to spend part of college abroad.  For the first couple years of my college career, many of my peers and friends from other universities completed programs abroad and had nothing but exceptional things to say about their experiences.  I wasn’t sure if going abroad was something for me, especially since I had never really traveled before.  But by my junior year, I finally decided that I myself wanted to spend my summer abroad.  I had come to realize that it would be a special opportunity and I could not have been more right.
