The Crimson makes first regional appearance in six years, drawing Georgia in Athens, Ga. regional (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After earning an automatic bid into the 2018 NCAA Division I softball tournament, Harvard softball will travel to Athens, Ga. for the regional round begining on May 18 announced Sunday evening. It's Harvard's first berth in the NCAA softball tournament since 2012.
The Crimson will face the host No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs on Friday, May 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Jack Turner Softball Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
Harvard makes its first appearance in six years in the NCAA regional tournament after sweeping Dartmouth in the Ivy League championship series on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson came back from a 4-1 deficit in game one, scoring five runs with one out in the top of the seventh inning, before taking game two, 4-1.
