PRINCETON, N.J. – Junior right-hander Sarah Smith earned Ivy League Pitcher of the Week accolades announced Monday afternoon.
Appearing in two games in the circle for the Crimson against Dartmouth, Smith posted a 1-0 mark with an ERA of zero, a 0.79 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in eight innings of work. The Somerset, N.J. native improved to 5-0 on the season earning the win in a 4-1 victory in game two, after tying her career single-game high, striking out five Big Green hitters in five innings. Additionally, she tossed three innings the following day in the series finale allowing just one hit, while striking out two.
The Crimson returns to the diamond tomorrow afternoon with a non-conference game on the road at Boston College. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
