NEISA Release

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard sailing swept the NEISA Weekly Honors after a stellar weekend on the water. First-year skipper Sarah Burn and senior captain Jessica Williams were tabbed as the Women's Sailors of the Week while junior skipper Eli Burnes and junior crew Emily Wang were named the NEISA Co-ed Sailors of the Week.

The selection marks the second straight for the Crimson women after sophomore Emma Kaneti and junior Emma Jakobson received the award last week, the program's first back-to-back selection in recent history. The announcement also marks the first time Harvard swept the awards in the same week in that span.

The nomination for Burn and Williams comes after a consistent performance in the B-Division at the Stu Nelson regatta hosted by Connecticut College. The duo defeated second-place Stanford by 19 points, helping the Crimson to a second-place overall finish.

Sailing at the St. Mary's Showcase in St. Mary's, Maryland, Burnes and Wang captured the A-Division of the regatta, beating second-place Dartmouth by four points. The pair helped the Crimson to a second-place overall finish in a top-flight regatta. It is the pair's second award for their weekend performance after being named the COOP Student Athletes of the Week.

Harvard sailing returns to action this weekend, Oct. 12-13, at the Women's Showcase Finals and the Captain Hurst Bowl.
