CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a runner-up finish at the 2019 ICSA National Championships, Harvard sailing has announced its fall 2019 campaign, as revealed by head coach Michael O'Connor.
The Crimson will open the season the weekend of Sept. 7-8, with three local regattas in addition to travelling to Yale. The following two weeks will be busy for Harvard, as the team will have five regattas on both Sept. 14-15 and Sept. 21-22. The end of the month will mark four more events for the Crimson, with the women hitting the water at Connecticut College, and the co-ed team sailing at Coast Guard, MIT and Tufts, respectively.
As the calendar shifts to October, more regattas are in store for Harvard. The women's team will return to Connecticut College for a second straight weekend with other members of the Crimson visiting St. Mary's and Dartmouth. After three and four regattas the weekends of Oct. 12-13 and Oct. 19-20 respectively, Harvard will conclude the fall portion of its schedule the weekend of Oct. 26-27 with three regattas in the greater Boston area.
After a weekend hiatus, the Crimson will race for the Singlehanded Championships at UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 9-10.
