    As announced by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA), 15 Harvard sailors have earned 2017-18 All-Academic sailing honors for their performance on the water last year.

    The Ivy League has announced the names of 80 student-athletes – including 10 from Harvard – who have been selected to the 2018 Spring Academic All-Ivy League team.

    NORFOLK, Va. – Graduated senior Taylor Ladd of the Harvard women’s sailing team has been named an ICSA Honorable Mention Women’s All-American Skipper, as announced by the Intercollegiate Sailing Association.

    NORFOLK, Va. – After a successful 2017-18 season marked by 10 top-five placements this spring, rising senior Christine Gosioco and graduated senior Nick Sertl of the Harvard sailing team were named to the ICSA All-American Honorable Mention list. Gosioco earned Honorable Mention All-American Crew honors, while Sertl was tabbed with an Honorable Mention Coed All-American Skipper nod.

  • Women’s Sailing Caps Off Season Finishing 15th at ICSA Championships

    NORFOLK, Va. – Concluding its 2017-18 campaign, the Harvard women’s sailing team finished 15th in the ICSA Women’s National Championships this week, May 22-26. The Crimson advanced to the finals after finishing second in the semifinals.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a successful regular season of spring sailing, the Harvard women’s sailing team will travel to Norfolk, Va. this week to take part in the ICSA National Women’s Championship from May 22-25 at Old Dominion University.
  • Sertl, Gosioco Named to All-NEISA First Team, Coakley Honored with NEISA Student Leadership Award

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Christine Gosioco and Nick Sertl of the Harvard sailing team were both named to the All-NEISA first team, as announced by the conference this weekend. Gosioco and Sertl sail together for the Crimson in the A-Division and were previously named to the NEISA Short List at the beginning of the season. The duo has tallied 10 top-five placements in this spring’s regattas, including three first-place finishes.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kirstin Anderson and Taylor Ladd of the Harvard women’s sailing team have been tabbed to the 2018 Women’s All-NEISA Teams, as announced by the conference this week. Anderson was recognized with second team All-NEISA crew honors, while Ladd received second team All-NEISA skipper honors.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Harvard sailing team will conclude its regular season this weekend, April 28-29, with two races. The women will compete in the Sperry Women’s Western Semifinal at Old Dominion, while the coed team will take on the NEISA Coed Championship/US Coast Guard Alumni Bowl at Brown.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard sailing team posted top-10 finished in each of its four races across New England this weekend, April 21-22. The Crimson gained its highest placement at the Admirals Cup with a fourth-place finish, while also placing sixth at the George Morris Trophy, seventh at the Boston Dinghy Club Challenge Cup and ninth at the NEISA Women’s Championship/Reed Trophy.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- With two weekends of racing remaining in the regular season, the Harvard sailing team will compete in three regattas this Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22. While hosting the Boston Dinghy Club Challenge Cup with MIT, the Crimson will also travel to Coast Guard for the NEISA Women’s Championship/Reed Trophy and to King’s Point for the Admirals’ Cup.

  • Sailing Wins Thompson Trophy, Clinches Four Top-Five Finishes

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Racing in four regattas across New England this weekend, the Harvard sailing team claimed its third first-place finish of the season, taking home the Thompson Trophy at Connecticut College. The Crimson also earned a second-place mark at the Owen/Mosbacher/Knapp Trophies, while claiming fifth at both the President’s Trophy and Oberg Trophy.
  • Sailing Heads to Three Regattas This Weekend

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard sailing team will move away from team races this weekend, April 14-15, sailing in three fleet regattas around New England. The Crimson will stay local on the Charles for the Oberg Trophy at Northeastern, while traveling to Kings Point for the Owen/Mosbacher/Knapp Trophies and Connecticut College for the Thompson Trophy.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard sailing team posted its highest placement of the weekend with a fifth-place finish at the New England Team Race Championship, April 7-8. The Crimson also captured a ninth-place finish at the Wick Trophy and a 10th place mark at the Mystic Lake Team Race.

    The Ivy League and ESPN have agreed to a long-term relationship to showcase Ivy League events through a variety of ESPN platforms, including at least 24 events annually on ESPN’s linear networks and more than 1,100 annually on ESPN+. This will include coverage for all 42 Harvard varsity programs.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a trio of local races this weekend, the Harvard sailing team recorded three top-10 placements. The Crimson’s highest finish came at the Marchiando Team Race where Harvard claimed fourth place. The women’s team registered a ninth-place finish at the Dellenbaugh Women’s Trophy, while the co-ed squad notched a seventh-place mark at the BU Trophy.

The Crimson earned its highest placement at the BC Team Race, sailing to a second-place finish, while also earning third and seventh-place finishes at the BU Team Race and Aaron Szambecki Team Race, respectively.

The Crimson will travel to Connecticut College for the Southern NE Team Race, MIT for the Geiger Trophy Team Race and Coast Guard for the Vietor Trophy. After two weekends of racing this spring, the Crimson registered three top-five placements, including a first-place victory at the Wood Trophy Team Race last weekend.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its second weekend of competition this spring, the Harvard sailing team split up to compete in three regattas, and captured three top-10 placements. The Crimson registered a first-place finish at the Wood Trophy and sixth and seven-place marks at the Icebreaker Fleet Race and Navy Spring Women’s, respectively.
