CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard sailing team posted four top-10 finishes in their opening weekend of competition, including a first-place mark at the Lark Invitational and second at the 74th Pine Trophy.

At the Lark Invitational Harvard bested eight other teams, including Tufts, BU, MIT, Northeastern, URI and WPI in the combined division regatta. Skipper Nick Karnovsky and crew, Christine Gosioco finished second in A-division and overall. Freshman Skipper, Jessica Williams, paired up with Divya Arya to finish third overall and first in B-division. Their combined total of 139 points was forty points clear of second place Tufts.

At the Harry Anderson Jr. Trophy, Harvard sailed a tough fleet in windy conditions and was unable to crack the top-10. Nick Digiovannia and Julia Lord sailed in the A division and Jackson Wagner and Catherine Tang sailed in the B division. The Crimson finished 12th out of 17 with 320 points.

After a brief rain delay on Sunday, the Crimson hosted their first race of the season at the Harvard Invitational.
