Sailing Places 12th at New England Dinghy Championship

Harvard closed out its regular season at the New England Dinghy Championship (Athletic Communications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard sailing team, ranked No. 12 in the latest Intercollegiate Sailing Association poll, ended its regular season with a 12th-place finish at the New England Dinghy Championship/Coast Guard Alumni Bowl, hosted by Dartmouth.

As sailing conditions were minimalized due to the weather, the two Crimson squads posted a combined three top-10 results at the eight-race regatta. The B-division of Marek Zaleski and Julia Lord tallied 38 points finishing 10th in the division, while the A-division of Andrew Mollerus and Sydney Karnovsky recorded 40 points for a 12th-place mark in the division.

At last years' championship, the Crimson finished sixth at the regatta hosted by Salve Regina.

Harvard will send a squad of women to the ICSA National Championship from May 24-27 at the San Diego Yacht Club.
