Sailors Returns from Atlantic Coast Championship with Seventh-Place Result

Two divisions of vessels sailed to a seventh-place result at the Atlantic Coast Championship (Athletic Communications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Four Crimson sailors traveled to Old Dominion for the Atlantic Coast Championship this weekend where they placed seventh out of 18 teams.

The A-division of Andrew Mollerus and Sydney Karnovsky sailed to nine top-10 results including a first place finish in the 10-race regatta. Marek Zaleski and Julia Lord, in the B-division, added five top-10 marks. Combined, the two divisions totaled 169 points.

This is the highest finish that the Crimson has earned since placing sixth in the 2010 champiobnship.

Harvard's fall season will wrap up with skipper Nick Sertl and crews Jacob Bradt and Taylor Ladd competing in the ICSA Match Race National Championship hosted by the College of Charleston from Nov. 20-22.
