Last Season
During the 2012-13 campaign Harvard raced to a first-place finish at the Ted Farrarone Team Race March 30-31. The coed squad finished second at the Tufts Central Series Sept. 8-9 and ninth at the 64th New England Team Racing Championship/Fowle Trophy May 4-5, while the Crimson women sailed to sixth-place results twice, at the 27th Women's Brad Dellenbaugh Trophy March 30-31 and 45th Women's President's Trophy Intersectional April 6-7.

Leading the Fleet
Michael O'Connor is entering his 17th season at the helm of the Harvard program. Since he took over the Crimson program in 1997, Harvard has won national team race championships in 2002 and 2003, as well as the 2003 national coed championship and the women's national title in 2005.

Captains of the Ships
Senior Isabel Ruane will return to her duties as captain for the third consecutive season, while classmate Ames Lyman will join her as co-captain.

Third Time's a Charm
Isabel Ruane's third consecutive year as captain marks the first time in Harvard sailing history that the Crimson were led by the same sailor for three-straight seasons. The senior's third term displaces Clay Johnson '07's and Ben Lamont '14's two-season record.

Preseason Prestige
Harvard's coed sailing team has been ranked 16th in the preseason national poll, presented by Sperry Top-Sider. The Crimson is one-of-four Ivy League schools to make the list, trailing No. 2 Yale, No. 3 Dartmouth and No. 8 Brown.
